Ed Prodehl began his real estate
career as a sales agent with Robert
J. Honig & Associates in Will County,
Illinois, quickly becoming one of
the top agents in the state.
1984
Ed Prodehl purchased Robert J. Honig & Associates,
rebranding it as Honig Realty. The firm consisted of two
offices, 20 agents, and $20 million in residential sales.
1989
Honig Realty grew to become the #1 real
estate firm in Will County, Illinois.
1997
The company partnered with the Coldwell
Banker brand to expand its reach and began an
aggressive growth strategy, merging with local real
estate companies throughout the Midwest.
2015
Mike Prodehl, Ed’s son, assumed the role of
President and CEO, driving further growth through
strategic mergers and operational leadership.
2015
Coldwell Banker Honig-Bell expanded into Wisconsin
through the acquisition of Coldwell Banker Real Estate
Group, rebranding the company as Coldwell Banker
Real Estate Group to reflect its broader presence.
2018
Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group expanded into
Indiana by acquiring Coldwell Banker Roth Wehrly Graber,
further strengthening its presence in the Midwest.
2019
Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group was recognized for its
exponential growth under Mike’s leadership, becoming
the largest Coldwell Banker affiliate in the world.
TODAY
Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group operates with
over 1,600 agents and nearly 60 offices across
Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan, while
maintaining its family-owned values and a commitment
supporting agents in living the life they want to live.
